Govt. Model Residential Polytechnic, Paderu is a Govt. Institute which was established in the year 1984 . GMRP offers high quality technical education to aspiring diploma engineers from the rural background, especially for SC & ST students with a vision to develop skilled manpower required for the present industry. Here the institute is provided with 100% hostel facility & it is one of the Model residential polytechnics. GMR Polytechnic, Paderu was initiated and it offers diploma courses in Civil Engg., Electrical & Electronics Engg, & Mechanical Engg., succoring the concept of AICTE and itâs effective utilization of resources. As it is Located in the agency area in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. It has been emphasis on a well-rounded education that makes institution a preferred polytechnic in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The institute has Skill development center (SDC) for the student development to train them in computer based courses. This institute also acting as Technical Skill Development Institute (TSDI), under this scheme skills like CNC programming, welding, agro, 2 wheeler mechanism & 4 wheeler mechanism which are imparting to students using most sophisticated method of teaching.
